Dec. 18th Operation Day

So... after a long year of knee pain and leg pain Tacy had her Osteochondroma removed!!! The English translation is: A Benign Tumor containing both bone and cartilage; which usually occurs near the end of a long bone. It is the most common of benign bone tumors and it was very painful! There you go, now you are as knowledgeable as we are on bone tumors. I must say she did very well considering the Tuesday before she had a major break down when we went in for the Pre-Op and she had to draw blood for the very first time.

After a few tears in the waiting room we were ready to get things going!

The worst part was over the dreaded IV. Life is good!

A little bit of Texting. So far so good, she is thinking this is a piece of cake!

The Anesthesiologist gave her a little bit of medicine to make her happy and feel good before they wheel her to the operating room and put her to sleep.

And it worked! She is all smiles as she waves good bye to Wade and I.
Little did she know that it would be her last smile for a couple of days.
Oh man there is nothing to smile about now! Wade and I had to wait for a while before we could see her because she woke up in so much pain she needed more drugs. When we finally got to see her she was still pretty much out of it and not very happy!
She just wanted to get home and start the recuperation!
